
About Our Team
Our Mission
The Club Eventing at NC State team was founded with the purpose to enable students to event as they earn a degree of higher education. Our team is the only United States Eventing Association (USEA) recognized collegiate eventing team in the state of North Carolina. Our club is an inclusive organization that welcomes eventers of all levels and backgrounds to participate in club meetings, socials, and intercollegiate team competitions. Individuals on our roster have competed at levels ranging from Green as Grass to the Two-Star.
History
2016
NCSU Eventing Team Founded
In 2016, alumni Sarah Davidson (2017), Ashley Hall (2018), and Matt Jenkins (2018) founded the Eventing Team at NC State University.
2017
First Intercollegiate Horse Trials and Championships
In February of 2017, team members competed for the first time as a team at the Running Start Horse Trials. In April, two team members attended the club's first USEA intercollegiate recognized event at FENCE. In May, five members attended the team's first ever intercollegiate championships.
2022
Club Eventing at NC State is established
In 2022, the Eventing team at North Carolina State University received formal recognition as a university club sport. The team name officially became Club Eventing at NC State, and a new logo was created.
